Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon Lead Nuggets to Game 2 Victory

Denver's Defense Holds Strong Despite Timberwolves' Late Push

The Denver Nuggets have tied their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 1-1 after a hard-fought 128-120 victory in Game 2 on Tuesday night. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon led the way for the Nuggets, combining for 62 points and 24 rebounds.

Jokic was particularly dominant in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 of his 35 points to help Denver pull away. Gordon, meanwhile, added 27 points and 11 rebounds, including a crucial three-pointer late in the game that put the Nuggets up by seven.

The Timberwolves, who had won Game 1 by 19 points, made a late push in the fourth quarter, but they were unable to overcome Denver's strong defense. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 36 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 26 points and 14 rebounds.

Game 3 of the series will be played in Minnesota on Thursday night. The Nuggets will be looking to take a 2-1 lead in the series, while the Timberwolves will be hoping to regain home-court advantage.
